Chickenpox does not only give you itchy blisters but it can also lead to...
1. bacterial infection of the skin lesions
2. pneumonia
3. meningitis or encephalitis
4.Reye Syndrome
5. hospitalization
6. death
7. Congenital Varicella Syndrome

Who has a higher risk of getting Chickenpox complications?
1. Persons older than 15 years old
2. Infants younger than 1 year old
3. Immunocompromised persons
4. Newborns of women with rash onset within 5 days before to 2 days after giving birth

Why vaccinate against chickenpox?
1. To avoid discomfort of having the disease and possible multiple scars it can leave
2. To avoid possible complications
3. To lower the chance of getting Herpes Zoster
4. To avoid missing important activities, absences in school or work

Who should be vaccinated against chickenpox?
1. All children 1 year old and older
2. Adults who do not have immunity against chickenpox

  1. i'm so remorseful that i didn't get that shot.. i had chicken pox just last december and i'm still dealing with the scars it left me... It's so depressing because I', already 23 :( It made a big damage all over my skin!
